The Pritzker Forum on Global Cities brings together leaders in business, civics, academia, and the arts for a dialogue on the influential role cities play in addressing critical global challenges. This years event will take place in Chicago from November 13 to 15 with the theme “Harnessing AI: Tools for Urban Leaders."

Artificial Intelligence is reshaping our world. It can help efficiently deliver social services, identify workforce trends and necessary skills, and provide localized climate predictions. But without ethical and transparent use, AI can easily exacerbate inequalities, intensify surveillance, and imperil democracy.

Through three days of panels, workshops, and networking, the 2023 Pritzker Forum will arm urban stakeholders across business, academia, and civil society with practical examples, tools, and connections to prepare their cities for a future with AI. Topics will explore the future of jobs in an AI economy, strategies for getting past predictive policing, the use of artificial intelligence for climate predictions and urban service delivery, as well as the idea that technology is only part of any solution to improve our cities.
